Catelyn Morningstar is a Brisbane-based children’s illustrator, mum of two boys and enthusiastic sewist. Having practiced sewing for 15 years Catelyn has picked up plenty of tricks along the way and is now ready to share her process and assistance to others. 

Being a mum to neurodivergent children, Catelyn understands the need for comfortable clothing and fun designs. There is wonderful joy to be gained from sewing for your self and the kids in your life.

Sewing for our children gives the benefit of choice of materials, personal preferences, customising fit and can also be significantly cheaper and longer lasting. 

A Fine Arts graduate, Catelyn began designing and sewing 15 years ago in response to a lack of gender neutral clothing that was fun and functional. Catelyn creates fun fabric designs and these get printed on high quality organic fabrics.
Catelyn’s unique designs have been previously shortlisted for the QUT CEA Fashion Accelerator program, in recognition of the potential of her business ideas.
